Follow up on remodeling estimates without hovering
A kitchen or bath number takes longer to decide than a one-day repair. The follow-up should make the scope easy to ask about, then stop when they need time.
Where the estimate stalls
The price needs a conversation
People rarely accept a remodel number from the email alone. The follow-up’s job is to offer a walkthrough of what’s included, not to restate the whole proposal.
More than one person decides
If they said they need to talk with a partner, one note that you’ll wait is enough. Another three emails that week feels like pressure.
The job can move to next quarter
Ask if you should close the estimate or keep it. Both answers tell you what to do on Monday.

Questions on your kitchen estimate?
Hi Luis, I wanted to make sure the kitchen estimate for $28,400 came through. The number includes the cabinets and counters we measured, and it leaves appliances out. Reply with whatever looks unclear. Thanks, Dana Brooks Oak Remodeling

For when you review the kitchen estimate
Hi Luis, You mentioned you’d go over the kitchen estimate with your partner. I’ll leave the $28,400 number here so you have it for that conversation. I won’t keep emailing unless you reply with a question. Thanks, Dana Brooks Oak Remodeling

Should I keep the kitchen estimate open?
Hi Luis, Last note on the kitchen estimate for $28,400. If the project is moving to later in the year, tell me and I’ll close it for now. If you want a call, reply with a time. Thanks, Dana Brooks Oak Remodeling
How QuoteLasso helps
- Add the customer, email, amount, and job. You can type it in, forward the estimate, or import a spreadsheet.
- The default schedule is 2, 5, and 10 days. Day 10 is the last email. You see the dates before you save, and you can change them.
- The first check-in, the second reminder, and the final follow-up each have their own wording. The customer sees your business name and the address followups@quotelasso.com.
- During the 14-day Starter trial, due follow-ups send on their own. Turn that off in Settings and nothing goes out until you press Send.
- After the trial, the Free plan stays manual. Starter ($79/month) and Pro ($149/month) turn automatic sending back on.
- When a customer replies, the rest of the follow-ups stop. Every email has a link to unsubscribe.
Questions
Is three follow-ups enough for a remodel?
Often yes, if they are spaced out and the last one lets them say not now. QuoteLasso’s default is 2, 5, and 10 days. Change the days if this customer needs a longer gap.
Should I offer a discount in the follow-up?
Only if you mean it. These examples don’t invent a deadline or a lower price. If you do change the number, say what changed in the scope.
What does QuoteLasso store?
The customer, the email, the amount, and the job, plus the follow-ups. It is not a project-management tool and it does not draw the plans.
