What to write the day you send a punch-list visit estimate

A same-day note is optional. It is not one of the three scheduled follow-ups. Use it when you are not sure the punch-list visit estimate for $860 arrived, or when one point from the visit is easy to forget.

Names, prices, and companies on this page are examples.

Skip it if you already talked it through

If you handed over the paper and walked the job, another email that night is noise. Handyman lists go quiet because each item feels small, and the trip charge only makes sense for the whole list.

What the recap should say

Name what the price includes: the door that sticks, the three drywall dings, and the loose stair rail we listed. Name what it leaves out: anything that needs a permit, including the panel question you asked about. Is the list we wrote still the whole visit, or did you add items? Do not fold a permitted electrical job into a handyman list.

If you send it from QuoteLasso

The default schedule is three emails, at 2, 5, and 10 days. Day 10 is the last one. You can move the dates. Add the estimate by typing it in, forwarding the message, or importing a spreadsheet. The customer sees your business name and the address followups@quotelasso.com. A reply comes to your inbox and the remaining follow-ups stop. QuoteLasso does not send texts. During the 14-day trial, due emails can send on their own. After that, Free is manual. Starter is $79/month and Pro is $149/month.

Your punch-list visit estimate from Jensen Handywork

Hi Erin,

I sent the punch-list visit estimate for $860 earlier today. It includes the door that sticks, the three drywall dings, and the loose stair rail we listed. It does not include anything that needs a permit, including the panel question you asked about.

Is the list we wrote still the whole visit, or did you add items?

Thanks,
Carl Jensen
