What to write the day you send a rekey and hardware estimate
A same-day note is optional. It is not one of the three scheduled follow-ups. Use it when you are not sure the rekey and hardware estimate for $640 arrived, or when one point from the visit is easy to forget.

Skip it if you already talked it through
If you handed over the paper and walked the job, another email that night is noise. Lock bids after a move or a break-in either happen today or get postponed once the house feels calm again.
What the recap should say
Name what the price includes: rekeying the six exterior doors to one key, and two new deadbolts. Name what it leaves out: a smart lock, and the garage man-door closer. Are we rekeying to one key now, or waiting while you pick a smart lock? Do not leave a construction key working after the rekey.
