The 5-day reminder for a brick repointing estimate

Day 5 is the second reminder. Assume they are busy. Do not add a discount or a deadline you do not mean.

Names, prices, and companies on this page are examples.

What changed since day 2

Nothing in the bid should change in this email. The cost is the height, the scaffold, and how much joint has to come out. A low bid often skips the grind. Masonry bids wait because the work looks optional until water gets in, and a second mason's number is usually coming.

Calendar or scope

Mortar does not cure in a freeze. If the wall is wet now, say what can be done before winter and what should wait. A partner who has not stood at the wall often thinks tuckpointing and rebuilding are the same price. Do not smear new mortar over failed joints and call it repointing.

If you send it from QuoteLasso

The default schedule is three emails, at 2, 5, and 10 days. Day 10 is the last one. You can move the dates. Add the estimate by typing it in, forwarding the message, or importing a spreadsheet. The customer sees your business name and the address followups@quotelasso.com. A reply comes to your inbox and the remaining follow-ups stop. QuoteLasso does not send texts. During the 14-day trial, due emails can send on their own. After that, Free is manual. Starter is $79/month and Pro is $149/month.

Checking in on the brick repointing estimate

Hi Dorothy,

Checking in on the brick repointing estimate for $8,400. I am not changing the number. It still includes grind and repoint the street face, and replace two spalled bricks.

If the holdup is the calendar, tell me which week is real. Should the chimney be on this bid, or only the street face of the house?

Thanks,
