Masonry estimate follow-ups
Twenty examples for a brick repointing, using $8,400 as a made-up price. Ten are the schedule. Ten are for a date, a smaller job, approval, or a later check-back. Masonry bids wait because the work looks optional until water gets in, and a second mason's number is usually coming.

Where this bid stalls
Masonry bids wait because the work looks optional until water gets in, and a second mason's number is usually coming. A partner who has not stood at the wall often thinks tuckpointing and rebuilding are the same price.
What the example price means
The cost is the height, the scaffold, and how much joint has to come out. A low bid often skips the grind. Included: grind and repoint the street face, and replace two spalled bricks. Left out: the chimney, and the garden wall, which are different access. Do not smear new mortar over failed joints and call it repointing.
When to send them
Mortar does not cure in a freeze. If the wall is wet now, say what can be done before winter and what should wait. The default schedule is still day 2, day 5, and day 10. Day 10 is the last email. Same-day notes are optional. The customer sees your business name and the address followups@quotelasso.com. A reply comes to your inbox and the remaining follow-ups stop.
