The line you can remove

A smaller version leaves out a roof replacement, if the shingles will not last the life of the array. The full $22,000 price includes the panels and inverters for the usage we reviewed, racked on the south slope.

What you will not do

The price is the equipment sized to the bill we looked at. A cheaper system that ignores the usage is a different design. Do not put panels on a roof you already know needs replacement.
