Solar estimate follow-ups
Twenty examples for a rooftop solar, using $22,000 as a made-up price. Ten are the schedule. Ten are for a date, a smaller job, approval, or a later check-back. Solar bids sit through utility approval, loan paperwork, and a spouse who has not read the production estimate.
Names, prices, and companies on this page are examples.
Where this bid stalls
Solar bids sit through utility approval, loan paperwork, and a spouse who has not read the production estimate. Financing versus paying cash is usually decided by someone who was not on the roof.
What the example price means
The price is the equipment sized to the bill we looked at. A cheaper system that ignores the usage is a different design. Included: the panels and inverters for the usage we reviewed, racked on the south slope. Left out: a roof replacement, if the shingles will not last the life of the array. Do not put panels on a roof you already know needs replacement.
When to send them
The install date follows the utility, not the day they sign. Say that so the follow-up is not a fake start week. The default schedule is still day 2, day 5, and day 10. Day 10 is the last email. Same-day notes are optional. The customer sees your business name and the address followups@quotelasso.com. A reply comes to your inbox and the remaining follow-ups stop.

How many solar follow-ups should I send?
