The 5-day reminder for a foundation excavation estimate
Day 5 is the second reminder. Assume they are busy. Do not add a discount or a deadline you do not mean.
Names, prices, and companies on this page are examples.
What changed since day 2
Nothing in the bid should change in this email. Haul-off and access are the price. Rock is extra because nobody knows it until the bucket hits it. Excavation bids wait on access for the machine and on a locate ticket that is not in yet.
Calendar or scope
Mud season changes how the machine gets in. Say so if the driveway will not hold the truck. The builder, not the homeowner, often has to accept the access plan. Do not include unknown rock in a firm price.

Checking in on the foundation excavation estimate
Hi Martin, Checking in on the foundation excavation estimate for $15,000. I am not changing the number. It still includes dig, haul-off of the spoil, and backfill after the walls are poured. If the holdup is the calendar, tell me which week is real. Is the locate scheduled, and can the truck stage on the street? Thanks, Gabe Rossi Rossi Excavating
