What to write when a foundation excavation price goes quiet

If $15,000 is why they have not replied, change the scope or explain the number. Do not invent a lower price in the follow-up.

Names, prices, and companies on this page are examples.

Why the number is the number

Haul-off and access are the price. Rock is extra because nobody knows it until the bucket hits it. The bid includes dig, haul-off of the spoil, and backfill after the walls are poured.

What you can take out

The line you can remove is utility locates you still need to schedule, and rock if we hit it. Do not include unknown rock in a firm price. Excavation bids wait on access for the machine and on a locate ticket that is not in yet.

If you send it from QuoteLasso

What is in the foundation excavation price

Hi Martin,

If $15,000 for the foundation excavation looks high, here is what it covers: dig, haul-off of the spoil, and backfill after the walls are poured.

I can take out utility locates you still need to schedule, and rock if we hit it and send a revised number. I do not want to cut the work and leave the price looking the same.

Thanks,
