Install before the heat if they want the lawn this summer. Winterization is a fall visit, not part of this price. A partner who manages the water bill will ask about zones and the test fee.

What the price is not

The $5,250 includes six zones, heads, and a backflow device for the yard we walked. It does not include the annual backflow test, and winterization. Do not fold the yearly test into the install and then forget to schedule it.
