Water damage estimate follow-ups
Twenty examples for a water damage dry-out, using $5,500 as a made-up price. Ten are the schedule. Ten are for a date, a smaller job, approval, or a later check-back. Water-damage estimates stall on the insurance adjuster, not on whether the room is wet.
Names, prices, and companies on this page are examples.
Where this bid stalls
Water-damage estimates stall on the insurance adjuster, not on whether the room is wet. The adjuster, and whoever files the claim, decides more than the person who met you on site.
What the example price means
This price is the dry-out and the log. It is not a rebuild bid, and it should not be written like one. Included: extraction, air movers, and a drying log for the laundry-room leak. Left out: rebuild of the cabinets, which waits until the drying readings are done. Do not promise the insurance company will pay a number you have not been approved for.
When to send them
Drying starts now. Rebuild is a second estimate after the readings say the wall is dry. The default schedule is still day 2, day 5, and day 10. Day 10 is the last email. Same-day notes are optional. The customer sees your business name and the address followups@quotelasso.com. A reply comes to your inbox and the remaining follow-ups stop.
