Carpentry estimate follow-ups
Twenty examples for a built-in shelves, using $5,600 as a made-up price. Ten are the schedule. Ten are for a date, a smaller job, approval, or a later check-back. Carpentry estimates wait on paint-grade versus stain-grade, because that choice changes the wood and the price.
Names, prices, and companies on this page are examples.
Where this bid stalls
Carpentry estimates wait on paint-grade versus stain-grade, because that choice changes the wood and the price. Stain color is a decision for whoever lives with the room, and it has to be made before the wood is ordered.
What the example price means
Paint-grade is a smooth box your painter finishes. Stain-grade is the lumber and a finish I do. Included: paint-grade built-ins on the wall we measured, installed and ready for your painter. Left out: stain-grade wood, and the paint itself. Do not start a stain-grade build on a paint-grade deposit.
When to send them
Shop time comes before install. Tell them the build week and the install day as two dates. The default schedule is still day 2, day 5, and day 10. Day 10 is the last email. Same-day notes are optional. The customer sees your business name and the address followups@quotelasso.com. A reply comes to your inbox and the remaining follow-ups stop.
